Personality: Vibrant, optimistic and friendly, Vesna is a young woman with a sunny disposition and heart of gold. She is a dependable friend and confidant, and has the ability to make everyone feel welcomed and not alone. A first glance it seems that her personality is just hiding a dark nature; no one could be this nice, right? The more you get to know her you realize that Vesna is exactly as she seems, kind and funny, a little odd, but nevertheless a good person. She is the type of person you want as an ally, because she will defend you to the death and always be there for you, day or night.
Strong of mind and strong of body, this girl can be tough. She is sturdy emotionally, and doesn’t let things bother her or get to her. Vesna takes on people’s problems and shoulders their burdens without complaint. Her body is also strong. Over the years she's grown a great pain tolerance. She can break an arm and still keep smiling, because she doesn’t want people to worry. The problem is her bullheadedness. She has a hard time backing down from anything, especially an argument or a fight. Most of all she doesn't know how to quit things. Vesna will keep at something until she feels she’s perfected it, even at the cost of damaging her body. Her body has many scars to prove her tenacity, and is sure to gain many more in her life.
Everything she does, she does whole heartedly. Vesna is a person ruled by her heart, and feels very intensely about things. Following your heart instead of your head sometimes lands her in hot water, but she always finds a way to sort things out. Her kindness is free of ulterior motives, and never does she seek to use anyone or anything for personal gain. Dedicated and devoted, she puts a 100% into everything because she wants nothing more than to improve to be a better asset to people. The needs of others are usually put before her own. When people are depending on her she rises to the challenge and shines. There’s a drive in her to get things right and to perfect them and to continue learning all she can.
Though not quick to get angry, push her enough and she explodes. She has no tolerance to being bullied or being pushed around, and will stand her ground. It comes as more of a surprise since she’s so quiet, but cross her once and you won’t want to again. Everything she kept in explodes out and she can reduce even the toughest to tears. Rarely does she feel bad about it either, if you caused her to snap you earned every word she says. Vesna tends to get a little violent when angered but most never see this side of her.
Vesna is nearly fearless, and bravely does what others wouldn’t. It could be her naivety or stupidity, but you have to admit, the girl has nerves of steel. She lacks the healthy sense of fear people have and dives in without a second thought. Vesna faces every challenge with a smile, and sees the opportunity rather than the difficulty. Death is not something to be feared to her, but something she accepts as her fate, regardless of how early it comes. Her lack of fear makes her compulsive though, something that causes her friends and allies to worry about constantly. For her, what happens happens.
The one word people use to describe her after kind would be oblivious. There is many times she has no idea what’s truly going on. Often than not Vesna reads the atmosphere wrong in the room. It's hit or miss on reading people, sometimes when she's oblivious it can help her see through facades, other times she's clueless. Always lost in her head, Vesna is a quiet girl but one that likes to be surrounded by people. With friends she can get rowdy but she isn’t one to be overly loud. She’s a better listener than speaker and prefers to let others talk or talk about them than talk about herself as well.
What most people don't know is that Vesna is very self aware of what she perceives as her limitations and is often indecisive because of it. She tries to remain optimistic, despite the doubts swirling in her head. To a degree she is reliant on others, and wants very badly to support them so she feels useful. Her own self worth is often measured on the success or failure of the group. Perhaps this all stems from the fact that has never been alone in her life, and doesn't know how to be self-sufficient if people are not around. Vesna keeps most of her worries hidden, not wanting to burden anyone with them.
Two Choices For Divisions: Scouting Legion- Naturally curious and brave, the scouting legion would be her only chance to explore the world outside the walls. Although she does have some fear of titans she knows people are counting on her and would be able to overcome this. Not in any high rank or with a huge kill count, she's lived past her first few years which is enough for her. Most of all she wants to be of use to man kind, even if it means dying for the cause.
Garrison- Her personality is more laid back and she would fit in comfortably with the garrison. Someone needs to protect the walls after all. She has a calm head on her shoulders (most of the time) and is good at dealing with the general public. There's nothing extraordinary about her except her bravery, so the Garrison would be where she would end up if the Scouting Legion didn't take her.
History: Hailing from a small village inside Wall Maria, Vesna's early childhood was filled with doing what most normal kids do. She played, she learned, and she worked. Her family were farmers and there was never really anything exciting happening in the village except marriages and births. She was a friendly and loving child, and never gave anyone much trouble. When she turned 13, out of the blue she asked to be sent to the military. Her parents couldn't understand why? What would motivate their air headed daughter to want to join the military? Vesna's only answer was that she wasn't satisfied with this kind of life. They refused at first but she kept asking until they relented and sent her off.
They expected her to quit that first year and come back home. However Vesna not only persevered but she thrived. Although she didn't quite finish in the top ten she did finish in the top 20, which was enough for her. After the attack she waited anxiously with other soldiers to see if their family was among the refugees. Her parents never came, only a handful of people from her village made it. An aunt, two young cousins and her older sister was all she had left. If in the scouting legion she'd be out there fighting so her younger cousins never have to. If in the Garrison she has join the fight to fortify the walls in order to protect all that she has left.
