Name: Tobias Sørensen
Age: 28
Ethnicity: Denmark
Personality:
This tall, imposing, brick wall of man seems intimidating at first glance. He's capable of making himself appear as menacing as possible, but never fear! Though he carries with him an axe of herculanean size, though that grin of his can twist into something so vicious the strongest of men would cower, though he believes, and would state, that his strength is unrivaled among his comrades from the north... Tobias actually isn't really all that bad a guy. He has the heart of a child. A mischievous but generally well-meaning child, who takes "no" with stride and doesn't tantrum as much as people might expect.
If you happen to survive your first meeting with this man (and trust me, most of the time you will,) you'll be graced with someone who is basically the class clown. He's a bubbly ray of sunshine, a perpetual "the GLASS IS OVERFLOWING" type of guy whose day can never be darkened, not by the most sincere efforts of the people he inadvertently annoys. Unfortunately this tends to mean that the Dane is rather oblivious, taking all insults and sarcasm with a smile that doesn't understand he's being made fun of. Or, perhaps he knows what people mean and he simply chooses to ignore it? Sometimes it's rather difficult to gauge exactly what he's thinking or how he feels, and those who know him well will say each action is a facade that masks his true feelings of a situation.
After all, there does seem to be some kind of latent intelligence hidden in the back of his mind. Comments he might make about a certain situation belie a surprising amount of understanding, but these moments of lucidity never seem to last long. His mind wanders and so do his desires and his intentions, and more often than not his unpredictable nature makes him a force to be reckoned with in most physical fields. If there is one thing anyone can expect from Tobias, it's that his actions are usually atypical.
That, and if Tobias has a thought on his mind, he can usually be expected to say it. Dear God, this man can talk, and he never shuts up. When morale is fading, one can rely on Tobias to try to lighten the mood with a joke, a prank, or some tale of great heroics passed down by generations of his family. Make no mistake, most of what he says is usually stupid, and not often in a funny way, but he cares deeply for the people around him and he can't stand to see people sad or upset if he has any power to cheer them up.
Ship/Island/Authority: WHATEVER SHIP THE NORDICS ARE ON.
Occupation: Missy seems to want to make him vice captain or first mate or something
History:
Tobias and his family were just like any other family. Their mother was a housewife, their father was a hardworking seaman, and as they grew up they were hardly at a want for anything due to the fortune that seemed to grace them endlessly.
It also helped that his father was, in actuality, a famous and feared pirate of the seas, their mother the head of a pirate haven hidden beyond the trees, and maybe their family wasn't really all that normal. However, Tobias and his twin sister Yasmin spent many of their years learning the tricks of the trade of their father's ship, and it wasn't until they both turned the ripe age of 17 that their father decided it was time to get them out into the world.
He packed them up with the essentials - navigational gear, weapons, some food - and gave them a ship of their own straight out of his own fleet. The twins were off into the world to pirate the waters of the world in the name of the Sørensens.
When they returned many years later they discovered that their happy family had a new addition, a younger sister by the name of Maalia. After some convincing she was inducted into the crew, and the piracy of the Sørensens continues to this day.
