IC:
Name: Kiku Honda
Age: 25
Personality:
+Calm. He’s never been an obnoxious or energetic person, not even as a child. Hating with strong passion simply isn’t in his blood, and anger is a rare sight. He’s not particularly spontaneous, brash, or out of line. Kiku simply has a tranquil manner regularly about him, a quiet presence that makes it seem like he always knows what he’s doing. Even in the face of danger, animosity, and impoliteness, he can keep up a solid poker face.
+Polite. Sometimes stiflingly so. Ingrained in his mind since infancy, Kiku learned to always be kind towards others and disguise negative emotions while in public. He often states that he agrees with another, even if it isn’t the case, so that the least amount of trouble is caused. If he doesn’t want to keep a person’s company, he’ll beat around the bush and make all sorts of viable excuses in order to get out of the situation. He expresses discomfort with apologies and tolerates obnoxious behavior from others with a smile. It may be dishonest, but he’s well aware that sugarcoating the truth to others gets a person farther in life than blunt, negative actions. Even in solitude, he rarely spouts profanities, finding them unnecessary and vulgar.
+Astute. Curiosity leads to research, which in turn leads to added knowledge. He’s educated in various subjects, though he tends to focus on science the most. In all honesty, Kiku isn’t very well-rounded when it comes to good and bad points; which is to say, he focuses mainly on the good and tries to ignore the bad. He’s very humble about the positive things about himself, keeping in the back of his mind all the flaws he has yet to face.
-Reserved. He isn’t exactly antisocial; it’s more along the lines of bashful, one could say. His levels of social anxiety have gradually decreased over time, but not entirely. It’s troublesome finding ways to connect with those around him, and he stumbles clumsily over the process. Working alone suits him better.
-Reprimanding. This tends to apply to self-infliction rather than snapping at those around him. While Kiku doesn’t especially enjoy mediocrity from any person’s works, it’s that of his own which he simply cannot stand. Quick to chastise himself, he latches onto flaws and tenses as they root themselves in his confidence, bringing it down yet another notch. He strives for excellence, and it eludes him occasionally when the act of daydreaming saunters by.
-Escapist. Escapism, n.: The tendency to escape from daily reality or routine by indulging in daydreaming, fantasy, or entertainment. The world isn’t so bad that he can’t stand living in it - it’s only that fictional worlds, at times, are much more enticing. Daydreaming is like a faulty bug in his mind that he can’t seem to delete. Thoughts wander to worlds of the unknown, pondering the meaning of things and the logic of current explanations. He often spends time gathering knowledge on multiple subjects, but his thoughts become so scattered that he only knows a small amount of a diverse number of concepts.
Three Choices For Positions:
1) Jack of Any Region
2) Six of Diamonds/Any Region
3) Ace of Diamonds
EXPLAIN Your Three Choices:
Jack: Patience is a heavenly virtue, and God knows Kiku holds an endless supply within him. Not one to get angered over trivial matters or let emotion impair his judgment, he’d be ideal for keeping the castle and its inhabitants in line. Kiku prefers to cause as little discrepancy as possible, which means that he’d acquiesce to another’s opinion before his own, so long as it formed the quickest and most painless solution. He holds firm to keeping the kingdom in order. Cutting a problem at its stem has proven to be very effective, and it’s a method he executes smoothly. He can be trusted to keep matters under control, as well as appease to both conflicting sides. Kiku’s most apparent flaw may be his intense formality; he handles procedures detachedly, keeping his feelings apart from his duties. He is neither strict nor lenient, but has a subtly powerful, firm yet gentle feeling to his work.
Six: Kiku has a calm manner about him, even in times of crisis. Were an epidemic to spread, he would have little to no trouble handling the situation. Relishing in knowledge, he’d have the necessary information to do anything from patch up a flesh wound to treating a severe infection, all with calculated precision. Appointed as both a doctor and an apothecary, he would be able to serve his kingdom well.
Ace: A position he would take with gratitude, but immense caution. Commanding a region’s army is a daunting task, but he would excel in inventing and polishing strategies that would leave their opponents off guard. His skill lies in swordsmanship, and he is admittedly a formidable opponent. Of course, he must be to be appointed to such a position. He would focus on training soldiers in close combat.
