Name: Alfred F. Jones
Age: 23
Personality: At first glance, Alfred is a cheerful, young man who is filled to the brim with positivity and a bright smile. Naturally a friendly fellow, he loves interacting with people and finds all of them interesting in their own way. He at first seems oblivious and somewhat ignorant, but is actually an observant and fairly clever guy who gives off the wrong impression -- most likely not on purpose. However, he sometimes is genuinely naive and doesn't understand at first if there was something implied he has a hero complex, and likes helping people as much as possible whenever he can. A true fan of whatever he loves and enjoys, his enthusiasm knows no bounds; although, he does occasionally have his lazy streaks.
Three Choices For Positions:
+Ace of Spades; I like the idea of Alfred being a champion of his people. It gives him more reason for his hero complex and wanting to protect people. He's pretty strong canonly anyways, and I can see him working pretty well with a sword in this AU. He's basically a goofy and relatively easy-going guy who continuously tried out during the yearly tournaments to be Ace. The position of Ace would also give him a good standing in the AU and as sort of a beacon to the rest of the Kingdom. He's uplifting and usually always positive, and I think it's a good image. Ever since he was a boy, he's been training to join in the competitions to try for Ace and would have won the tournament, perhaps either the previous year or actually the most recent tournament. The symbol of the Ace can give it meaning now with America's position in the world with influence and their military power in the 20th century.
+Seven of Spades; if not Ace, Alfred would still be a good soldier -- again because of his hero complex. He likes helping and saving people as much as possible. If he's not Ace, he's probably just a Knight (a chivalrous one at that) who has tried every year for quite a few now to be the Ace of the Kingdom of Spades. If he didn't manage to win the tournament every year he tried, then maybe he could have been recognized by some of the military and enlisted. I imagine the tournament is also a chance for the Royal Court and current Ace to find interested recruits for the military.
+Five of Spades; if not being someone who can protect people physically, Alfred can be an assistant to one of the Royals. That way, he's still helping out and continues to be a hero; in his own way. Assistants can also know a few basic defensive moves to be able to protect the Royal they're directly under. He would have applied to the Jack to become an assistant for any of the Royals, as soon as he became of age.
