Personality: Francis is the type who is often misjudged by people. Despite the contrary belief, he is not a pervert who lusts after everyone and anyone for no reason or being “addicted to sex”. He is naturally a romantic, and believes purely in wooing and courting the person of his affection. He takes pleasure in helping others be together, and may meddle slightly to ensure people find the one they can be truly happy with. He’s the big brother sort of type, the kind who you can go to for advice about anything; romance in particular. He’s more than happy to help anyone in any way he can if possible. He’s quite protective, especially as if sees you as a close friend, or possibly as a sibling figure.
Also despite the contrary belief, Francis is not a saint. There’s also a point where he snaps and breaks, and cannot bear anymore insults or assumptions. He’s human, just like everyone else, and has a limited amount of patience. Francis can be hurt, sometimes easily – he's a rather emotional being. He’s normally quite a gentleman, especially to the female population, but he’s just as much to the male side as well. He fully believes anyone and everyone can be, and is, beautiful.
If there was a flaw Francis would clearly recognize, it would be his envy. He has a minor jealousy problem, which he considers an imperfection and loathes himself for it.. He constantly praises and compliments others about their beauty, for who they are and occasionally aids in their love life if asked or needed. But he also has a want for compliments himself, and praising others so grandly typically makes him feel worse about himself. Sometimes, he’s envious about how great and incredible others are, while he appears lesser in comparison. He tends to hide it very well, and very few people actually know of his true feelings about the matter.
Francis is the type who would be extremely pleased if his feelings of love and affection were ever to be requited. He’s one who feels love very powerfully, and his affections are strong. He often gives kisses to show affection, but rarely are they what he considers a kiss of true love. It can make him the happiest man in the world if he finds out the person he likes returns his feelings, although he may not show it publicly (by unconsciously slipping into his usual flirtatious mode).
Three Choices For Positions:
+King of Diamonds; this is my first choice and the one I'm really hopeful for. If I'm completely honest, I would really like him to be in this position, because of the canon cardverse. Francis would mostly be a King who checks up on the other Kingdoms quite frequently and sees how everyone's getting along. He can sometimes be a little too nosy, so the rest of the Royal Court and his adviser will have to keep him in check every so often. The title of King also gives him power and authority, which he enjoys and would probably use it to sneak out to visit the other Kingdoms every so often. Along with being able to watch over a Kingdom helps the way he enjoys being a "big brother" to people and he feels responsible for them. He could have achieved this title by being the son of a noble and knowing the previous Royals. (Just like TND except maybe his dad wasn't as much as a dick.) His father would have pushed him to study and learn everything about dealing with foreign relations in hopes he could become the next King.
+Nine of Diamonds; if not King, I can see him still dealing with relations with other Kingdoms. Francis, after all, is a social butterfly and is quite charismatic. His charm would be quite useful when checking up and renewing relations with other Kingdoms. If the King passed, for some reason, and Francis wasn't the new King, he may have been hired as an ambassador.
+Five of Diamonds; if neither of the two above, Francis could also be an assistant to one of the Royals. He would most likely dote on them and help them to the best of his ability. I want Francis to be happy with whatever he has, and conversing with many people would be nice, especially with his personality. He also likes the idea of being important to people in power and be able to be useful to them. This, too, factors in with how he likes being the "big brother" figure and can help someone as if they were a sibling figure. I'm sure a noble could do what he wants, even if going down and becoming a Five instead of an Eight.

History: Francis Bonnefoy was born as an Eight of Diamonds along with his twin sister Estelle, to their father, also a noble. Their father had a "perfect" plan and decided to groom Francis to take over the position of King of Diamonds and Estelle as Queen of Diamonds. This way, the Bonnefoy family would reign supreme over the entire Kingdom and their father would have unimaginable influence. Tirelessly and constantly trained to become the absolute perfect King candidate with all knowledge of foreign affairs between the Kingdoms, Francis was raised this way for fourteen years -- until one day, their father was mysteriously poisoned one evening during a typical majestic dinner.
(Neither of the twins were among the ones who mourned.)
When Francis had any free time while younger, he would go and visit (play) with Vash and Lili Zwingli, fellow Eights. They were close childhood friends, and Francis still nostalgically remembers the days when he, Estelle, Vash, and Lili would all smile and laugh and play games with each other.
Those days were long ago.
He remembers the day when Vash became King of Diamonds. It was a happy time, although Francis felt a small twinge of jealousy. It seemed as though Vash would live a good long while and Francis had been practically living his life to solely become King. It didn't seem fair to have it ripped away from him. His life practically became nothing.
Until, one day, Vash was banished and thrown into the Underground for an attempted murder on the Queen of Diamonds - Estelle. Francis was shocked, betrayed, and seething with anger.
